Here we go again.
Over a year ago, before the world went to crap, I decided to put a blog on my website. A formal blog, where I would talk about projects and occasionally share my thoughts about things. As you do.
My year of having the domain has long run out. Things have changed considerably. I've realized I'm nonbinary and found myself a name. I've moved to Connecticut, only to plan to return to Utah.
I'm engaged! There is a desperate hope and a bit of a scurry to get my Irish fiance to the US, where he will be safe and taken care of away from his abusive family.
I've gotten officially diagnosed with autism and somehow found a therapist who makes me realize just how bad all of my previous therapists were. Like: yikes.
Currently, I am unemployed. I've gotten a legal team together to help me get Social Security Disability and I'm on Foodstamps. But, as always, I write.
I'm finally published. I know it's been bought and I will, eventually, make money off of it; but for now, I am broke. Still, I'm published! I'm a published author!
So what's my plan from here?
First and foremost, I have plans to publish more books from here. Inspiration struck and I'm plinking at a second poetry book, this time with a theme. I've submitted poems and stories here and there, and plan to hopefully wiggle my way into more anthologies.
I'm also going to be publishing Unicorn Valley. This book has been inside me for what feels like my entire life. I am unreasonably excited. It has a sequel, too. Unicorn Valley is due out in September; right now, I'm aiming for June 2022-ish for the sequel.
Beyond that, I want to publish a game or two. I'm working on something in Twine at the moment, and I'm hoping to get that out sometime in 2022. Then, I want to get an RPG Maker game or two out. On top of more anthologies and books, of course.
I'm also hoping to start a serial story, published... somewhere. I don't know where yet, but it's gonna happen. Hopefully, fingers crossed.
I also want to keep in touch with people via my blog, and do more stuff on Instagram and Twitter. So far, I've only promoted my book on both and done some other things. I don't post nearly frequently enough on either, so I'm hoping that I will at some point.
As for the blog, my goal is at least one update once a month. We'll see if I can maintain that.
Finally, I want to get custom art for my website. I'm pretty sure I can put something together myself. I've just been the flower for so long - and then 'supernova butterflies', which uses art that has no credit... What should define me? What do I want people to see when they look? I mean, I like the whole butterflies and flowers theme, with the occasional smattering of 'unicorn', but... I could definitely do better.
Well, wish me luck.
